It was a blatant lie, a stunning one really, flashing there on the electronic billboard for all to see. I’m used to the manipulations of marketing, and how misleading images can subtly deceive. But this message, though well-intentioned, seemed far more destructive. The billboard flashed, YOU ARE ENOUGH, again and again as my parents and I made our way to a wedding. YOU ARE ENOUGH. Sounds good, I thought to myself, until the hard painful day it becomes very clear that you are not.
This world’s brokenness challenges our self-sufficiency. Brutal events fill the news. Loved ones reel from unexpected disease and sudden death. Relational landmines explode, leaving the rubble of divorce, abuse, or tragedy. The message of these days rings true to me. We are not enough. Jesus confirms this reality and counters it in John 16:33; “In this world you will have many troubles, but take heart! I have overcome the world.
At Fieldstone, we know we are not enough. We need the hope of Jesus Christ, the wisdom of God’s Word, and the support of fellow believers to help others through life’s storms. In every session and interaction, our call is to share how God’s providence meets us at our point of need. We help others take heart because our counsel rests on His promises. Christ’s divine power gives us all we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). In Him, we live, move, and have our being (Acts 17:28). At Fieldstone, He provides caregivers who can help us see how. Our team is here to help, encouraging others with gospel hope.

On its own, Fieldstone’s counseling team is not enough to share lasting hope for life’s struggles. We need the prayers and financial support of fellow believers to enable our caregiving. Would you consider supporting Fieldstone today? Through God’s mighty guidance and practical help from His people, Fieldstone counselors counter the lies of this world with the beautiful truth of Christ’s sufficiency. In Him, there is enough."
