The Center for Shepherd Care is a special outreach initiative of Fieldstone Counseling, shaped by our desire to provide particular care for pastors, ministry leaders, and their families. We believe that there is a direct connection between the well-being of those who are serving in vocational ministry and the well-being of those they are serving. Consequently, we want to see shepherds cared for, healed, equipped, sharpened, and encouraged — so that “their work will be a joy, not a burden” (Heb. 13:17), and the churches and ministry organizations they serve will flourish in the ways God has intended. We are honored to accompany pastors and ministry leaders during seasons when they might benefit from intensive or specialized forms of care. We do this in a variety of ways:

Individual, marriage, and family counseling options
Consultations for pastoral staff teams, elder boards, and leadership teams
Workshops and retreats tailored to the needs of ministry teams experiencing burnout, conflict, suffering, and more
Care and equipping events that can be offered to entire church audiences, such as conferences, marriage or parenting events, and retreats
Support groups for pastors, staff members, and ministry leaders, like our Shepherd Life Cohort and our Women in Ministry Cohort

The Residency

The purpose of The Residency Program is to serve the clientele of Fieldstone Counseling by building our counseling team and providing a setting for graduate students who are interested in a vocational, biblical counseling model to gain experience and think through their calling.
