With over 25 years of ministry experience, Barry has provided shepherding care to all ages as a youth and family pastor and as pastor of counseling. He loves helping those in times of struggle, doubt, and grief. Both as a pastor and a biblical counselor, Barry has helped men and couples in a wide range of areas and has focused on pastoral care and men's issues, including sexual sin and addictions.
Barry has a shepherd’s heart and desires to walk alongside people through life’s
challenges. He believes that biblical truth not only helps us to understand the root issues of our problems but also brings hope and healing to our brokenness through the gospel. Barry has an M.Div from Westminster Theological Seminary and received a Doctor of Ministry through Covenant Theological Seminary. A seminar speaker and support group leader, Barry has given talks on his dissertation, which focuses on the pastoral care of Christian parents with adult gay children.
Barry has also completed the first level in the CCEF (Christian Counseling and
Educational Foundation) certificate program. He and his wife have three young adult children. In his spare time, Barry enjoys gardening, swimming, and taking in the beauty of God’s creation.
