The Shepherd Life Cohort an interactive small group experience for Christian pastors and ministry leaders
After several different careers (high school teacher and coach, graphic designer and cartoonist, advertising and sales), Bob went to seminary and became an ordained pastor in 1989. He served as an associate pastor (twice), church planter, interim pastor, and head of staff at churches in Pennsylvania and Ohio. He has been married to his wife and best friend, Linda, since 1977, and raised three sons. Bob is now enjoying focusing on counseling and helping people experience God’s healing, grace, and fullness of life in Jesus Christ.
“Jesus said, ‘I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.’ (John 10:10). What does that really look like? In particular, how do we practically apply the Gospel and follow Jesus in the midst of our struggles and challenges that come with living in a fallen world? The Biblical counseling experience needs to be a safe place and time to process these questions with all of our honest doubts and fears.”
Bob enjoys counseling individuals, couples, and groups, and has a particular heart for men’s issues, marriage counseling, spiritual growth challenges, and church-related issues. As a pastor himself, he has special heart for helping pastors and ministry leaders (including their families) as well as churches and ministries. This led to a special emphasis within Fieldstone Counseling called Shepherd Care.
