Lorraine desires to help individuals navigate grief, trauma, complex relationships and seasons of spiritual disorientation. She has a particular interest in working with women facing marital disconnection, emotional distance, family-of-origin wounds, chronic shame and questions about God's guidance and care. Lorraine is passionate about helping counselees distinguish grief from failure, understand the deeper movements of the heart and encounter Scripture not as a measure of performance but as a place of refuge. Her hope is to help people make sense of their suffering and to experience renewed clarity, freedom, the nearness of God and trust in Christ as they are guided towards healing.
Lorraine's interest in counseling grew out of her early coursework with CCEF where Scripture moved from something she knew to something that actively shaped her life. Through that experience, she began to see how God, by his Spirit, meets people in their struggles and brings real and lasting change. Lorraine has ministered alongside her husband Bart (who pastors a local church in Ann Arbor, MI) for the past 25 years.
