Shannon is a Biblical Counselor certified with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) and has a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Counseling (MABC) from The Master’s University. She's the author of Help! I’m A Slave to Food and contributing author to Women Counseling Women. She is a retreat and conference speaker. She serves on the Counsel Board and is a contributing blogger for the Biblical Counseling Coalition.
Raised in South Carolina, Shannon graduated from the College of Charleston with a BA in Biology and the Medical University of South Carolina with a BS in Cytotechnology. She works as a Cytotechnologist (screening pap smears under a microscope) for a medical laboratory. In her “free” time, she enjoys weekend getaways and nature walks. She likes reading Christian books and having coffee shop talks with friends. She cherishes Friday movie nights with her busy college-aged daughter. Shannon is passionate about Jesus Christ and all that He offers for every believer. Through counseling, writing, and speaking, she enjoys helping others not only to grow stronger in their relationship with Christ but to thrive. At her church, she has the privilege to come alongside women and couples applying the hope of the gospel in difficult seasons of life.
